After seven months, N.SSign has officially returned with their single album, “Funky Like Me.” Their latest release includes three tracks, each with its own unique sound and energy. With a genre-blending sound and multiple contributions, N.SSign is showcasing their artistic growth early in 2026.
“Funky Like Me”
The title track, “Funky Like Me,” blends multiple elements of funk, R&B, and dance to create one unique track. This song also features PEAK & PITCH, a duo that was formerly a part of the idol band, The East Light.” With their support through the lyrics, composition, and directing, the group brought the retro-funk concept to life. Their music video followed too, with a performance-driven aesthetic, it’s allowing the members to not only stand out but focus solely on personality.
“Beautiful Monster”
“Beautiful Monster” is one of two B-sides on the single album “FUNKY LIKE ME.” This track tells the story of being attracted to someone even though they could be seen as dangerous. Even though this love might lead you to the unknown, it makes the journey worth it. This song brings a sense of nostalgia as well, with a strong synth, pop, and dance vibe. This song brings a cinematic and charismatic story.
“SCOOT UP!”
“SCOOT UP!” is the final track on the single album but also the most unique. As members Huiwon and Doha both contributed and are credited as lyricists for this song. With an R&B, Soul, and dance vibe this song is a slowed down track compared to the other two. With a romantic and flirtatious message this track is all about wanting to be close to someone and fill in the gap between.
With a retro-sound focus, n.SSign is setting the tone for the new year with fun and energetic performances and sounds. Their single album, “Funky Like Me” is out now wherever you stream music. The group is also set to make their 3rd Japanese single comeback with “Feelin’ Good” which will be released on March 4, 2026.
