Fans have been stunned by Jonah Hill’s recent transformation after he debuted a new look in his upcoming Apple original film with Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz.
After stepping away from the spotlight in recent years, Hill is set to mark his return with dark comedy Outcome, which he acted in, co-wrote, and directed. It follows Reef Hawk (Reeves), an actor who must confront “hidden demons” after he is blackmailed with a video that could end his career. Matt Bomer and Cameron Diaz play his lifelong friends, while Hill portrays Ira, his crisis lawyer.
The movie’s ensemble cast also includes the likes of Martin Scorsese, Laverne Cox, Kaia Gerber, Susan Lucci, David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Ivy Wolk and Roy Wood Jr., and will hit screens on April 10.
Earlier this week, Apple TV revealed the first looks at Hill, Reeves, Diaz and Bomer, with fans shocked at Hill’s transformation in particular. New first-look photos show him talking to Reeves, sporting a completely shaved head and a silver beard.
Many have been quick to comment on his significant weight loss, which he previously said hadn’t come from “pill or a genie” – but instead from working with a nutritionist to change his eating habits.

Despite being frank about how he achieved the weight loss, he has said he found the commentary around it frustrating. “I know you mean well, but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body,” he said previously, per The Mirror. “Good or bad, I want to politely let you know it’s not helpful and doesn’t feel good. Much respect.”
Jonah Hill has not appeared on screen in a movie since 2023’s You People, and announced in 2022 documentary Stutz that he’d be taking a step back from promoting his films because of the anxiety attacks he faced throughout his career.
“Through this journey of self-discovery within the film, I have come to the understanding that I have spent nearly 20 years experiencing anxiety attacks, which are exacerbated by media appearances and public facing events,” the actor said at the time (per The Independent).
Later, in 2023, the comedian sparked public discourse after his ex-girlfriend, surfer Sarah Brady, took to social media to share a series of allegations about the actor’s treatment of her during their relationship, illustrated in a number of apparent text screenshots.
Outcome marks Hill’s first return to the screen since the accusations. The last on-screen appearances were in 2023’s You People alongside Eddie Murphy and the 2021’s Don’t Look Up.
