Your album 23:24 reflects a very personal transition. Was there a particular moment that inspired the overall theme of this project?
SYA: First, I wanted to create an album that truly told my own story. Starting from that idea, I spent a lot of time seriously thinking about what I wanted to say, and I ended up reflecting on my life as a whole and incorporating those experiences into the album.
SYA: Out of the eight tracks on your album, which one do you feel most connected to, and why?
SYA: I’m attached to all of the songs, but “BURN” stands out the most. Both in the process of making it and in the music I usually listen to, it fits my personal taste best.
You worked closely on writing and composing every song. Do you have a favorite step in the creative process—writing, composing, or recording?
SYA: I think the writing and composing stages are the most fun. Being able to freely imagine melodies and try out new things makes that part of the process the most exciting for me.
Collaboration seems important in your music. How was it working with Wooju on “235803”?
SYA: It was my first time working with WOOJU on a solo album. I explained the feeling I was going for, and he delivered it perfectly. The process felt very comfortable, and I really enjoyed working together.
BLITZERS is known for high-energy performances. Do you have a favorite memory from performing with the group?
SYA: Performing concerts in different countries stands out the most. Being on stage and performing our music is what makes me the happiest.
As someone balancing group and solo activities, how do you switch between those two sides of your career?
SYA: I don’t really feel like I’m switching between them. I think I’m just continuing to work naturally as myself.
If your album 23:24 were a color or visual image, what would it look like?
SYA: A rainbow. Since the album includes songs across many different genres, a rainbow feels like the best representation.
Is there a song from your album you think fans might relate to the most? What makes it special?
