2000Trees 2026: Funeral For A Friend announced as exclusive headliner while Marmozets, The Bronx, Militarie Gun and loads more join line-up

2000Trees have confirmed that Funeral For A Friend will be making an exclusive headline appearance at this year’s edition, and also added over 30 new artists to the line-up.

The festival will be returning to Upcote Farm in Gloucestershire this summer, and running from Wednesday July 8 to Saturday July 11.

Back in November, the first wave of artists were announced, and Alkaline Trio, Glassjaw and PUP were among the names, as well as Sprints, Lambrini Girls, Cancer Bats, Dinosaur Pile-Up, High Vis, Ho99o9, Pinkshift, Superheaven, Scowl and Bad Nerves.

Now, organisers have announced more than 30 new acts, and confirmed that Funeral For A Friend will be performing their only headline festival slot of the year at the 2026 edition.

It comes as the much-loved Welsh emo legends are celebrating a quarter of a century since they formed, and haven’t performed at the Gloucestershire festival in 13 years.

“Headlining 2000trees feels incredibly special for us. As we head into the 25th anniversary year of the band, we’re very conscious that at this stage in our career we only want to do things that genuinely mean something – things we’ve not done before – and this is absolutely one of them,” Ryan Richards said.

“2000trees is one of our favourite festivals in the UK. It’s always carefully curated, surrounded by like-minded bands and peers, and set in beautiful surroundings that makes the whole experience feel unique. To be part of it in this way is something we’re hugely proud of.”

Other new names confirmed today include a UK festival exclusive from The Bronx / Mariachi El Bronx, who are playing at the event for the first time, and the recently reformed rock groups Marmozets and Arcane Roots. For the latter, it will be an exclusive appearance.

LA punk band and former NME Cover stars Militarie Gun also join the line-up, as do indie stars A, rising Dublin band The Scratch, UK rock group As Everything Unfolds, punk-rock act Petrol Girls, singer Anthony Green, reggae punk band The Skints, and Denver-based indigenous punk group, Dead Pioneers.

“Having Funeral For A Friend return to 2000trees for the first time since 2013, after growing to a legendary status – and fronted by Lucas from Holding Absence, an absolute staple of 2000trees – feels like the perfect summary of what this festival is about,” said festival organiser and booker, James Scarlett.

“As their only show of 2026 and guaranteed to be jammed full of the hits, this is not to be missed for any Funeral For A Friend fan! I’m also over the moon to be adding even more quality to the festival bill with this announcement.

“So many 2000trees favourites like Arcane Roots (festival exclusive), Marmozets and The Bronx, as well as some long overdue legends. Mariachi El Bronx. Playing the festival for the first time, on the Main Stage, in the sunshine, with a pint in hand – say no more!”

The 2025 edition of 2000Trees featured performances from Kneecap, PVRIS, Taking Back Sunday, Twin Atlantic, Frank Turner, Coheed And Cambria and Sprints.
