The indie folk trio released their second studio album a decade ago this week via 4AD, and while ‘Not Enough’ was a track written and demo-ed during those sessions, it did not make its way onto the final record.

Now, to mark the anniversary, the band have shared a fully realised version of the track that they recorded last November, with production from the band’s Igor Haefeli, who also produced ‘Not To Disappear’.

The warmly textured track soothes the listener, with Elena Tonra gently singing: “We have a void, it’s like a vortex in our chest / That’s what you said, do yourself a favour / Pull yourself out of it, out of each other / Because it’s not enough”

The band have said: “’Not Enough’ didn’t find its place on ‘Not To Disappear’ but we always loved it – we even played it live a few times before it went back to being a demo buried on a hard-drive. To mark the album’s 10th anniversary, we wanted to revisit some of the unfinished threads from that era.”

“In November 2025, we finally all found ourselves in London again and recorded ’Not Enough’ in the studio together. We live in different places now, and some of our recent work has happened remotely, so this felt like old times.”

NME gave ‘Not To Disappear’ four stars upon its release, writing: “‘Not To Disappear’ might pick up where ‘If You Leave’ left off, but it’s a far more powerful, affecting and confident record. There’s a fresh, subtle aggression to the music in places (like the surging guitars and Remi Aguilella’s crunching drums on opener ‘New Ways” peaks) and the franker lyrical approach makes the sentiments within even more capable of breaking your heart than before.”

The band have only released one more album in the subsequent 10 years, in the form of 2023’s ‘Stereo Mind Game’, which NME also gave four stars and described as creating “delicate soundscapes” that conveyed “the complex emotions” of human relationships.

Tonra, meanwhile, released her debut solo album ‘Ex:Re’ in 2018, and an accompanying reimagined version with a 12-string ensemble in 2021.
