The comedian was hosting the awards for the second year after a successful stint in 2025, and didn’t hold back on the assembled audience, the highlight of which was a jab at the One Battle After Another actor’s dating life.

“What a career you’ve had,” she began. “Countless iconic performances, you’ve worked with every great director, you’ve won three Golden Globes and an Oscar, and the most impressive thing is you were able to accomplish all that before your girlfriend turned 30.”

Following a laughter break, Glaser make a joke about the actor remaining private in interviews. “Leo, I’m sorry I made that joke, it’s cheap, I tried not to, but we don’t know anything else about you, man. There’s, like, nothing else, like open up!” she pleaded. “I’m serious, I searched, the most in depth interview you’ve ever given was in Teen Beat magazine in 1991. Is your favourite food still ‘pasta, pasta, and more pasta?’”

DiCaprio, who appeared to be taking the jokes in good humour, nodded and offered a thumbs up to the final question.

One Battle After Another would go on to be one of the most successful films at this year’s ceremony, winning four awards: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture (for Teyana Taylor), and Best Screenplay. DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor – Musical or Comedy for his performance, but ultimately lost out to Marty Supreme star Timothée Chalamet.

Hamnet, The Pitt, and the cast of Adolescence also came away with big wins at the awards, which celebrate both television and film. You can read the full list of winners here.
