Corey Feldman has alleged that co-star Corey Haim “molested” him while working on the 1987 movie The Lost Boys.
Feldman and Haim, often known as The Two Coreys, were both child actors in the 1980s and frequently worked together after meeting as teenagers on the set of the movie. They went on to work together on the likes of License To Drive and Dream A Little Dream. Haim died from pneumonia in 2010 aged 38, after years of struggles with substance misuse.
Feldman made the abuse claims in Marcie Hume’s new documentary Corey Feldman vs. The World, as reported by Variety. He said in the doc, “When we did Lost Boys, Corey said to me, ‘Hey man, let’s mess around’. And I said, ‘What do you mean?’”
Feldman then claimed that Haim said: “This is what, you know, what guys in the business do, right? You know, you suck each other’s dicks, or you fuck around, you do this stuff.”
He continued: “And I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ And he said, ‘Well, Charlie [Sheen] told me it was OK.’”
In March 2020, Feldman released a documentary, My Truth: The Rape Of 2 Coreys, in which he alleged that Sheen had raped Haim. Sheen has denied and contested Feldman’s claims, saying (via People), “These sick, twisted and outlandish allegations never occurred. Period.”
Feldman went on to tell Hume that, although he knew what Haim wanted from the encounter, he “set it up”. He explained: “I called [Haim] and said, ‘Come over.’ But you know, when you have got somebody that’s trying to come onto you sexually, and you don’t want that, and you are a kid, and you are scared, you do whatever you can to stop it from happening. And that’s what was happening. I was being molested by Corey Haim. Truth be told.”
“Corey wanted to tell his truth,” Hume said. According to the producer, the documentary started out as a sort of comeback story for Feldman, with the actor and musician inviting Hume to film him and his all-female band, Corey’s Angels, across their 2017 tour.
In the doc, Feldman said that he formed the band to help female artists realise their dreams, though some told Hume that Feldman would restrict what they ate and wore and when they could shower, as well as not pay them. One Angel, Courtney Anne Mitchell – also his wife from 2016 until their divorce was settled last month – told Hume that the band was a “straight-up sex cult”.
Representatives for Sheen and Feldman did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.
“I couldn’t capture everything,” said Hume. “I definitely did capture a moment in time, but I don’t feel like I got the entire, complete picture. Corey has many, many layers that contradict one another,” Hume says. “Part of what emerged with this film is opening up as many questions as possible and opening up the view of Corey. Even though I knew that I couldn’t answer many questions about him, I could only open the aperture.”
