Troll 2 is the newest monster movie bringing havoc to Netflix, but what songs are included in the film? Find out below.

The film is a sequel to the 2022 hit Norwegian film Troll and it is the largest film production ever from the Nordic countries, landing on the streaming service earlier this week (December 1).

It sees Ine Marie Wilmann, Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen return to their roles from the first film, and this time they are joined by Sara Khorami, Jon Ketil Johnsen and Gard B. Eidsvold. Director Roar Uthaug (Tomb Raider) also returns.

As the synopsis reads, two dangerous new trolls are brought to life and go on to wreak havoc across Norway, throwing Nora, Andreas and Captain Kris, as well as newcoming Marion, into their most dangerous mission yet.

Troll 2 has been met with mixed critical reviews, according to aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, where it currently sits on a 50 per cent rating. The previous film scored a more impressive 87 per cent, with a consensus reading: “Troll doesn’t rewrite the monster movie rulebooks – but with mythology this rich and action this exciting, it doesn’t have to.”

Troll 2 features an original score from the Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based composer Johannes Ringen, who is known for his contributions to Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Fast & Furious 7 and Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead.

As a lead composer, his most prominent work to date was on the original Troll film in 2022, and Ringen returns to the franchise this time around.

Additionally, the new film includes an excerpt of the iconic Norwegian classical piece ‘In The Hall Of The Mountain King’, written for Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt and composed in the 1870s.

It also includes the 2014 debut single ‘Pinne For Landet’ from Norwegian singer Freddy Kalas.
