As the season of the witch begins on October 1st, Nine Inch Nails have chosen the perftime to announce a new North American leg of their “Peel It Back” tour. After delivering powerful homecoming performances at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and the rest of the band will hit the road again in February 2026. This extension follows a run that has already been recognized as one of the best in the band’s decades-long career.
The announcement also comes in the wake of the release of their striking video for “As Alive As You Need Me To Be”, a track taken from their score for Tron: Ares. Directed by Maxime Quoilin, the video marked Reznor’s first on-screen appearance in over a decade and underscored the duo’s ability to merge sound and vision into unsettling and immersive forms. It also reinforced the current era of Nine Inch Nails as one not simply revisiting their past but reasserting their relevance in the present cultural landscape.
This expanded leg of the Peel It Back tour will once again feature Boys Noize as special guest. The collaboration will take on an even more prominent role at Coachella 2026, where both acts will unite under the name Nine Inch Noise. The performance is expected to present an intensified hybrid of industrial power and electronic experimentation, further developing the synergy first established on tour in 2025.
The Peel It Back tour has been widely praised for its scope and intensity. The 2025 shows delivered a 20-song setlist balancing new work with long-standing staples such as “Wish,” “The Hand That Feeds,” “Closer,” and “Hurt.” Critics noted the precision of the production, the physicality of the performances, and the balance between aggression and atmosphere that has long defined Nine Inch Nails’ live reputation.
