All Episodes Available on The Binge Today
New York, NY – August 1, 2025 – Sony Music, in partnership with Western Sound, today announced the premiere of Doctor’s Orders, a new podcast that explores the shocking story of Dr. Munir Uwaydah, who allegedly built an empire of fraud to the tune of a quarter-billion dollars and was thought by some to be involved in a murder case, though he was never accused or charged. Hosted by Peabody Award-winning journalist Ben Adair, Doctor’s Orders takes listeners inside the intricate world of a Southern California Doctor who is not who he says he is. Subscribers to The Binge can listen to all episodes today.
Throughout the season, Ben Adair brings listeners into the world of Dr. Uwaydah and the multiple lives he lived. A well-known surgeon with his own chain of medical clinics in Southern California, Uwaydah was charming and persuasive to his patients. However, he had a dark side and has been described as a “mastermind,” “the devil” and an “evil genius.” A story filled with twists and turns, we follow the murder investigation of Juliana Redding and how it intersected with the complex relationship between her and her boss – and secret lover – Uwaydah. What began as a seemingly cut-and-dried homicide expands into a bizarre and shocking criminal conspiracy no one saw coming.
Through first time interviews with those closest to Redding, alleged victims of botched surgeries, and the prosecutor involved in the still-pending fraud indictment against Uwaydah, we learn about the depths of these alleged crimes and the multiple players involved. Doctor’s Orders brings the listener into the dark world of a manipulative, powerful man who did not care what he had to do to make a profit and fund his numerous lives. Leaving listeners to question where is Uwaydah now? How deep do these fraud schemes run? How many victims are there?
“It took me and five reporters across three continents to track this story down,” said host Ben Adair. “Doctor’s Orders reveals the alleged criminality that occurred as Uwaydah built an alleged empire of fraud to the tune of over $250 million – and then fled the country to avoid facing repercussions. It’s a true global tale of murder, fraud and more in an era defined by ultra wealthy oligarchs who break society’s rules and rarely take responsibility.”
Doctor’s Orders is hosted by reporter Ben Adair. Adair is the executive producer from Western Sound. Jonathan Hirsch is the executive producer from Sony Music.
