LE SSERAFIM traveled to the U.S. for the first time as a group in October and November, visiting New York, where member Yunjin grew up, before traveling to Los Angeles.
While in the U.S., the group promoted their first English single, “Perfect Night,” and appeared on NBC‘s Today for their U.S. television debut, performed at BlizzCon 2023, and were special guests at a Lakers game.

While in the States, the group also sat down with popular American radio personality Zach Sang and opened up about their trainee days, their creative process, what they hope to accomplish as a group, and more on the Zach Sang Show.

During the show, Zach Sang asked the members what fueled their dreams of becoming idols and wondered if they had a “version of an idol that [they] aspired to be.”
Kazuha answered, stating that because she “did not have a trainee period,” she wanted to become an artist known for her performance on stage.

The talented LE SSERAFIM member’s statement surprised Zach Sang, who asked her to explain more about how she debuted without going the traditional trainee route.
Kazuha revealed that she joined the group “abruptly,” so she didn’t have time to experience the traditional trainee life.

Kazuha admitted that not being a K-Pop idol trainee led to additional challenges as she adapted and adjusted to idol life. However, she assured fans that it’s an honor for her to be part of a group that can perform a lot on stage.

When Kazuha joined Source Music, it was already determined that she would be in the debut line-up of LE SSERAFIM. While she shared that she wasn’t a traditional trainee, she did train for nearly six months with her fellow group members in preparation for their debut.
Having the shortest training period in HYBE history was thanks to her hard work and years of experience as a trained professional ballerina prior to her joining the group.
