The Nintendo Music app launched last year and lets players stream a variety of classic Nintendo soundtracks. Fans can also make their own playlists and listen to extended loops of their favourite tracks using the service, which requires an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Nintendo has been adding new games to the streamer every week since launch. The latest is the Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker soundtrack.

The Wind Waker was met with mixed reviews when it was originally released in 2002 for the Gamecube due to its cartoony, cel-shaded graphics but went on to become one of the most beloved entries in the series. The game sees Link trying to save his sister from Ganon with the help of pirate captain Tetra, an incarnation of Princess Zelda. Wind Waker takes place across a series of islands, with players needing to use talking sail boat King Of Red Lions to travel between them.

The music in The Wind Waker was composed by Kenta Nagata, Hajime Wakai, Toru Minegishi, and Koji Kondo. It was heavily inspired by traditional Irish music and is more upbeat than a majority of Zelda soundtracks. Now players can listen to all 133 tracks, including ‘Molgera Battle’, ‘Ganon’s Tower’ and ‘Dragon Roost Island’ via Nintendo Music.

“Finally. Now if only we could get the game on Switch,” wrote one fan. “I saw ‘Wind Waker is now available on Nintendo…’ and I was about to go nuts,” added another. A remastered version of Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker was released in 2013 for the Wii U but it’s not currently available to play on Switch, though there are rumours a remake is in the works.

The Wind Waker is the 34th new addition to Nintendo Music and is the final game that was teased during the initial announcement. It follows rumours that the Switch 2 will be announced later this week.

In other news, Fortnite Festival has announced an in-game collab with virtual pop star Hatsune Miku.
