Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged to be married, according to reports.

Sources have told TMZ and People that the couple are officially engaged, with Holland proposing in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States over Christmas.
Speculation about the engagement started when Zendaya attended the 2025 Golden Globes ceremony last night (January 5) wearing a large diamond on the ring finger of her left hand. The couple have yet to comment on the reports.
The ring that Zendaya was sporting on the red carpet wasn’t featured in the press release detailing the Bvlgari jewellery she was wearing. When a recently-engaged Los Angeles Times reporter held up her own ring and asked “Are you engaged?”, the star responded by presenting her own left hand, and then “smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously”.

According to People’s reporting, a source said: “Everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening. He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”
The source continued: “They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects.”
The source claims the couple shared the news with friends over the New Year’s period.
Holland and Zendaya are notorious for keeping their relationship extremely private, which began after they both starred in Marvel’s Spider-Man movies. It was only when they were photographed kissing in a car in July 2021 that their romance was made public knowledge.
Speaking on the Dish podcast about what it’s like for the pair to work together in December 2024, Holland said: “It’s a saving grace. Yeah, best thing that’s ever happened to me.

“It’s just that perfect thing when you’re on set and a director will give you a note that maybe you don’t agree with, or I know that she doesn’t particularly like, and it’s just that, like, familiar glance at each other of like, can’t wait to talk about that later.”
In the same month, Zendaya told Vanity Fair that working with Holland was “strangely comfortable”.
She said: “It’s like second nature, if anything. You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside. I love working with him. He’s so talented, and so passionate about what he does. He always gives things one thousand per cent, even if he’s absolutely worn down. I really appreciate that about him. It feels pretty normal. That’s how we met. Literally, at a chemistry read.”
The couple will both appear in Christopher Nolan’s star-studded new film, which is an adaptation of Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey. They will also reprise their roles as Peter Parker and MJ in Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man 4 film, which Holland revealed they’ve both read a script for and are excited about. Both are set to be released in 2026.
