“Beauty And A Beat” has joined the Spotify Billions Club. Justin Bieber’s 2012 hit, a collaboration with Nicki Minaj, has reached a billion streams on Spotify. It’s the latest Spotify milestone for Bieber, one of the most successful streaming stars of all time, who boasts more than 94 million monthly listeners on the platform.
Bieber is a fixture of the Billions Club. “Beauty And A Beat” is his 17th song to surpass the billion mark on Spotify. He already had eight tracks beyond the billion mark when Spotify launched the Billions Club in July 2021, including a trio of hits from his 2015 album Purpose: “Sorry,” “Love Yourself,” and “What Do You Mean?” His other early entrants into the club were via features on Major Lazer’s “Cold Water,” Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You,” DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One,” and Ed Sheeran’s “I Don’t Care.”
In the three-plus years since the foundation of the Billions Club, Bieber has added hits from across his career to the billion-song tier. “Stay” with The Kid Laroi joined the club in November 2021, followed by the Daniel Caesar/Giveon collab “Peaches” in January 2022. His Quavo team-up “Intentions” and the Jack Ü smash “Where Are Ü Now?” hit a billion streams in December 2022. In March 2023, “Ghost” reached the billion mark, followed by the Ariana Grande duet “Stuck With U” in September 2023. Bieber most recently entered the Billions Club with his feature on Dan + Shay’s “10,000 Hours” in December 2023 and his Ludacris collaboration “Baby” in August 2024.
Minaj reaches the Billions Club for the sixth time. She most recently crossed the threshold with her own “Starships.” Before that, she gained entry via “Swalla” with Jason Derulo, “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, “Side To Side,” also with Grande, and “Tusa” with Karol G.
