Celebrities including IU who showed support for protestors calling for President Yoon Suk Yeol‘s impeachment were mass reported by right-wing netizens to the US CIA, though there remains to be seen any real reason for such reports. The impeachment motion against Yoon passed the National Assembly on December 14. After reports surfaced questioning the validity of NewJeans‘ Hanni‘s visa status following the group’s unilateral termination of their contracts, Ador put out a statement confirming the company is preparing the necessary paperwork for her scheduled renewal early next year.

Jung Na-ra took home the Daesang at the SBS Drama Awards for “Good Partner,” with “Connection” winning Best Drama. Meanwhile at the KBS Entertainment Awards, Lee Chan-won won the Daesang, and “Immortal Songs” was chosen as best program of 2024. YG Entertainment denied a Dispatch report that Mino was failing to properly fulfill is alternative mandatory military service.
