On November 26, BigHit Music, the label behind global sensation BTS, announced that Shin Sun-jung, the label’s General Manager (GM), has been appointed as its new CEO.

Shin Young-jae, a key figure in BigHit Entertainment’s history, has taken on a pivotal new role at HYBE Music Group. Shin first joined BigHit Entertainment, now known as HYBE, in 2010, contributing significantly to the creation and early development of BTS. Her achievements earned her recognition on Billboard’s 2022 40 Under 40 list and in their Women in Music executive rankings, highlighting her influence in the global music industry.

As the newly appointed CEO of BigHit Music, Shin will prioritize streamlining the label’s operational systems and exploring opportunities for business expansion. Meanwhile, Shin Young-jae, who has served as BigHit Music’s CEO since 2020, will now oversee HYBE’s multi-label operations across Korea and Japan in his role as the first head of HYBE Music Group.
