Announced on her Instagram page at 9pm UK time on Monday (November 25), Del Rey’s 10th album – the follow-up to 2023’s  ‘Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd’ – will be released on May 21, 2025.

The singer had already confirmed that her tenth album would see her venture into country music and that regular collaborator Jack Antonoff and country musician Luke Laird would be involved. However, the title appears to have changed as Del Rey had previously said the album would be called ‘Lasso’.

In the Instagram message, she also suggested the album’s lead single would be called ‘Henry’.

“So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke Jack and Drew Erickson amongst others. Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach starting with Henry. Love Always,” wrote Del Rey.

The singer also spoke to NME about the album in May, suggesting that the lyrics might be lighter than her more recent output. “I’ve maybe less to say in terms of any self-revealing things like on ‘Tunnel’ or ‘Blue Bannisters’ or ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’, and just more melodic,” she said. “Maybe more American Songbook style?”

Since then, the sound of the album, and its release date, have been subject to speculation. Del Rey had previously said the project would arrive later this year but in October, Del Rey addressed the ongoing wait for the project, saying she’s following her instincts after feeling a “literal energetic pause”.

“I think all the songs have been Americana and I want to wait to see what the musical atmosphere feels like,” she told People magazine. “‘Cause I don’t usually feel like I need a pause in the creation process, but if there’s a literal energetic pause that almost feels like physical, then I have to wait and I don’t know why.”

The news coincides with the announcement earlier today (November 25) of Del Rey’s first UK and Ireland stadium tour for next summer.

She’ll kick off the tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 23, before heading to Glasgow, Liverpool and Dublin. The ‘A&W’ singer will then wrap up with a huge date at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 3. You can find a full list of dates and venues below.
