Billy Corgan announces solo Australian tour for winter 2024

Billy Corgan has announced a string of solo Australian tour dates this winter – see the full list of dates and ticketing details below.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman is due to return Down Under this December for three Good Things festival performances in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Now, Corgan has announced additional solo headlining shows for Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

Across all six shows, Corgan will be backed by Australian indie rock band The Delta Riggs. His headline shows will take place on December 1 in Adelaide, December 3 in Melbourne and December 4 in Sydney before he kicks off his festival run between December 6 to December 8.

Pre-sale tickets to his headline shows will go on sale on Wednesday (October 30), while General tickets will be available on Friday (November 1) at 9am local time. You can get your tickets here.

DECEMBER
01 – Adelaide – Hindley St Music Hall
03 – Melbourne – Palais Theatre
04 – Sydney – Enmore Theatre
06 – Melbourne – Good Things Festival
07 – Sydney – Good Things Festival
08 – Brisbane – Good Things Festival

The Pumpkins released a surprise album ‘Aghori Mhori Mei’ in August, marking their 13th studio record in total. It came out exclusively as a digital release, with a physical release to follow on November 22.

In other news, Corgan recently used artificial intelligence (AI) to create a new video, promoting The Smashing Pumpkins’ new album in eight languages.

Last month, Corgan opened up about his port-wine birthmarks on social media in a statement of body positivity. He shared that for a big part of his life, he went hid his birthmarks as he was teased “unmercifully” as a kid.

He continued: “Even now strangers will stop me on the street not because they recognize me but because they think something is wrong with me that requires medical attention.Plus the random questions: Is that a burn? Are you sick? Is it contagious? Does it hurt?

“So positive message for the day: Whoever you are, I hope you find peace with who you are because: I would like to know that person and no one else.”
