Anna Kendrick makes her directorial debut with crime thriller Woman Of The Hour.
Based on the life of serial killer Rodney Alcala, the film depicts Alcala (Daniel Zovatto) during an appearance on TV show The Dating Game in 1978, where he wins a date with Cheryl Bradshaw (Kendrick). At the time, Alcala had murdered five women.

Other cast members in the film include Nicolette Robinson, Tony Hale, Kathryn Gallagher, Pete Holmes, and Kelly Jakle.
Woman Of The Hour premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023, and was released worldwide by Netflix on October 18, 2024.

The film’s score is by Dan Romer and Mike Tuccillo, who previously worked together on TV shows Ramy and Love Life. Romer’s previous credits also include Disney’s Luca and HBO minseries Station Eleven.
