Former Crayon Pop, ChoA, On Cancer Diagnosis

ChoA, a former member of Crayon Pop has revealed that she was diagnosed with cervix cancer.

On October 13, ChoA shared on her social media platforms that she was diagnosed with cervix cancer in May 2023. The celebrity, who had just gotten married and is just in her early 30s, spent most of her newly-wed life in hospitals trying to beat this predicament. ChoA stated that after the shocking revelation, she went on to visit the country’s 5 biggest university hospitals hoping that each would give her a different answer. After finally coming to terms with the reality, ChoA and her newly-wed husband started the test and treatment.

ChoA revealed that she was diagnosed with Stage 1 cervix cancer with a 3 cm tumor. Her world shuttered further upon hearing that despite a successful treatment, the chances of preserving her fertility were in the balance. Amidst tears and heartbreak and with her husband’s unwavering support and prayers, ChoA started the treatment. ChoA revealed that she is finally on her fourth follow-up exam after a successful surgery that reduced the tumor and thankfully her fertility was preserved. She added that she is scheduled for another surgery to further protect her fertility since her cervix was removed. ChoA will have her uterine body tied in advance to prepare for pregnancy. ChoA finished by sharing her desires of being a mother even as she makes a full recovery.
