The fan favourite Super Tuna returns to the spotlight following Jin’s performance of the track at 2024 BTS FESTA, which took place earlier in June in celebration of BTS’ debut anniversary. Making his first official appearance since completing his mandatory military service, and performed the full version, unveiling the second verse for the first time. At the event, ARMY (BTS’ fandom) responded with overwhelming excitement, thrilled by the addition of a new verse that added a new flair and freshness to the beloved song.

Released as a gesture of gratitude for ARMY’s unwavering support, the full version of Super Tuna enriches the listening experience by showcasing Jin’s lively spirit in greater depth and inviting listeners to immerse themselves in the upbeat energy.

The special video, released on BTS’ official YouTube channel, creates a laid-back yet lively mood, set against a backdrop of serene blue waters. Jin relaxes on a beach chair, playing music from a cassette tape that breaks the silence with the catchy, energetic track. Dressed in a yellow palm-tree print shirt and a straw hat, he perfectly captures the playful vibe, further enhanced by humorous edits featuring tuna and various text elements. The video perfectly captures what fans love and expect from Jin, highlighting his signature sense of humour and passion for fishing.

Meanwhile, the performance video titled ‘Jin of BTS ‘Super Tuna’ Special Performance Video,’ the very first version of the track revealed in December 2021, recently surpassed 100 million views on YouTube as of October 2. The earlier version of the single, released in October 2022, topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales and Digital Song Sales charts, and remained on the Hot Trending Songs chart for 45 consecutive weeks. Shortly after 2024 FESTA, the track also reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart (dated June 22).
