Seunghan will return to RIIZE this November.
On the October 11, SM Wizard Production announced Seunghan’s return to RIIZE activities saying,
“As fans know, it’s been about 10 months since Seunghan stopped team activities due to personal issues before his debut. Seunghan acknowledges that his past actions were wrong, and he is deeply reflecting on his feelings of apology to the members and fans, and has been on hiatus for nearly a year. We also recognized that Seunghan’s past actions were not desirable as an artist, so we had a long time to think about when to resume activities.”
They continued, “While sympathizing with the fact that fans have been curious and worried due to the lack of information regarding Seunghan’s activities, we sincerely apologize for only being able to tell you about our decision regarding the direction of RIIZE’s activities now after continuing to think about it from various angles.”
“We have been pouring our heart and soul into planning RISE’s next chapter since before our debut, and we have judged that it will be more meaningful when all 7 members are together. After discussing the direction of the team’s activities with the staff and members several times, we have decided that Seunghan will return to the team. After joining the team and preparing for a certain period of time, Seunghan will sequentially participate in some of the team’s schedules planned for November and greet fans again.”
“Seunghan has been working hard to build up his skills even during his hiatus, and we hope you will continue to watch over him with warm eyes as he has more to show in the future. We apologize once again for the confusion and difficulties caused to fans who have watched and supported RIIZE’s growth. However, RIIZE is a team that grows together and realizes its dreams, and the members are practicing hard even at this moment, thinking of the team as the top priority. We ask that you trust our decision so that we can properly show RIIZE, consisting of seven members, to fans.”
SM announced Seunghan’s hiatus from the group on November 22, 2023 after a series of rumors were posted over social media.
