Recently, The Kid LAROI collaborated with BTS’s maknae Jungkook on his track “Too Much,” which also featured British rapper Central Cee.
Now, The Kid LAROI has sat down with American radio personality Zach Sang to promote his new music, revealing just how the collaboration came about.

He revealed that he had recently gotten into BTS before his collab with Jungkook, who was not originally planned to feature. Upon working together, The Kid LAROI discovered Jungkook is just as sweet as he is talented, saying, “He was just such a little sweetie. He was so sweet!”
I like, you know, recently just started getting into BTS like in the past like year and a half, maybe two years and so we never really met but we had a mutual person and I sent to them I was like, ‘Hey, do you think JK would do this?’ And they said, ‘Well, let me see,’ and then he said yes and sent it back and then we met at the video shoot, and it was really cool ’cause obviously you know you don’t know what to expect when you meet people for the first time.

Zach agreed that all the BTS members are equally kind and talented, stating, “Seven incredibly talented kind people who are also real artists like all of them…” The Kid LAROI added that his only regret is that he wish he had become a fan of BTS sooner.
Yeah, it’s really like… Again, it’s really interesting ’cause I kind of like I feel almost like ‘Damn, I wish I had like … gotten into them a little sooner.’ I wish I had like paid attention more. I mean there’s a lot of music I feel that way about. I’m like, ‘Damn, if only like I paid attention to this a little more when I was younger.’

Zach Sang attempted to reassure him, reminding him, “It’s really never too late, though, to consume art.” Still, The Kid LAROI wishes he had been more open-minded when he was younger.
It’s not, and that’s the thing. It’s never too late to like do that, but I feel like there’s so much music that when I was a kid, my brain was just so closed off to that. Now I’m getting older, and I’m really like enjoying it, and I’m really like, ‘Damn, like I wish … I paid attention to this sooner. I wish I had like enjoyed this sooner.’
