Jasveen Sangha, the drug dealer known as the “Ketamine Queen” has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in relation to the death of Matthew Perry.

The 54-year-old actor was found unresponsive in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. He was later pronounced dead, with his death being attributed to the acute effects of ketamine, and drowning and coronary artery disease listed as other factors.
Five people were charged in connection with Perry’s death in August 2024, including doctors Mark Chavez and Salvador Plasencia, the actor’s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, former rehab program director Erik Fleming, and Sangha.
Last year, the latter pleaded guilty to five federal charges in connection to the death of the Friends star, including three counts of distribution of ketamine, one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury, and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises.
Prosecutors accused her of “operating a high-volume drug trafficking business out of her North Hollywood residence” and claimed “she knew – and disregarded – the grave harm her conduct was causing” (via Variety).

After the sentencing Perry’s stepfather, Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison” described the ruling as a “highly reasoned sentence” (via Today).
“We miss Matthew dreadfully, of course, and I feel badly for the perpetrator here as well. Nobody won today,” he added.
As for others involved in the case, Salvador Plasencia pleaded guilty to four counts of distribution and is currently serving two-and-a-half years in prison, and Mark Chavez pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, and was sentenced to three years of probation.

“We did everything we could when we could,” Aniston said in terms of trying to help with Perry’s addiction. “But it almost felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle with that disease was a really hard one for him to fight. As hard as it was for all of us and for the fans, there’s a part of me that thinks this is better. I’m glad he’s out of that pain.”
