After a resurgence in popularity, Feist’s 2007 single “My Moon My Man” is getting a new vinyl reissue. The single will be reissued on a limited edition 7” white vinyl record, with the original track on one side and Boys Noize’s exciting remix of the track on the other side. The vinyl is available now.
“My Moon My Man” was introduced to a younger generation thanks to its inclusion in HBO’s Heated Rivalry within the past few months. The track was prominently featured in the series’ fourth episode, “Rose,” during a montage that featured almost the entire song. “‘My Moon, My Man’ is such a good song; it’s so poppy and smart and beautiful and all that shit,” said Heated Rivalry creator Jacob Tierney in an interview with Rolling Stone Canada earlier this year. “I loved it so much. We literally looped it and played it twice because my editor was like, ‘You know, this song is nowhere near long enough.’ I was like, ‘Great, loop it. Just play it twice.’ That’s how much I love this song.” Feist’s song “Sealion” was also featured in the series’ first episode.
“My Moon My Man” is the first single off Feist’s third album, The Reminder. The album was a major success upon its debut, with several critics and editors dubbing it one of the best releases of 2007. The album has since been certified gold in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia, and has been certified two-times platinum in Canada. “My Moon My Man” was also prominently featured in the season four episode of Grey’s Anatomy “Let The Truth Sing.” Feist’s most recent album, Multitudes, arrived in 2023, and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
Boys Noize are no strangers to remixing songs associated with the screen. In 2024, he remixed Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ soundtrack for the movie Challengers. That soundtrack also proved to be a chart success.
