P-Pop trailblazers mark new chapter with 24-track album featuring collaborations with global artists JOLIN and BE:FIRST

Following the historic announcement of their Lollapalooza Chicago debut, Filipino pop group SB19 returns with their new album, Wakas at Simula, now available on all major streaming platforms. The 24-track project reflects a new chapter for the group, highlighting their artistic growth and reinforcing their position as the leading P-pop boy group.
The album features high-profile collaborations, including “Emoji” with the Queen of C-pop JOLIN and “Toyfriend” with Japanese boy group BE:FIRST. The remaining tracks range from the R&B-influenced “Memories” to the experimental “Everblack,” eventually closing with the emotional intensity of “Wakas.” Additionally, the album is complemented with re-recorded versions of the group’s 2021 EP, Pagsibol, specifically offering delivery changes shaped by their personal experiences.

“Emoji” is accompanied by an official music video that spotlights SB19’s visual artistry. The video shifts between a warm and industrial backdrop with tangled wires and draped structures to a futuristic blue-lit environment enhanced by laser beams, where SB19 and JOLIN deliver sharp and synchronized choreography. Japanese sensation BE:FIRST have rapidly ascended to the forefront of the global pop landscape, earning multiple No. 1 debuts on the Oricon music charts and amassing millions of cumulative streams across platforms. The Queen of C-Pop, JOLIN stands as one of the most influential artists in global pop history, with a career spanning over two decades and more than 25 million records sold worldwide.
“These collaborations helped us see how we can refine and evolve our approach on a global stage,” SB19’s Stell explains. All members add, “This album honors that journey while also guiding us into a more grounded and intentional version of SB19.”
In addition to the Lollapalooza milestone, SB19 has joined “Weverse,” the main global fan community platform for acts like BTS and KATSEYE. Later this Summer, they’ll be a part of the Summer Sonic 2026 25th anniversary lineup. To celebrate the release of Wakas at Simula, SB19 will hold a trilogy finale concert on April 18, 2026 at the SMDC Festival Grounds.

ABOUT SB19
SB19 is a multi-awarded, five-member boy group from the Philippines. The group is composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, and debuted in October 2018 with their single ‘Tilaluha.’ They gained widespread popularity with their second single, ‘Go Up.’ Since their debut, SB19 has amassed a global fanbase known as A’TIN and was recognized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts as Philippine Youth Ambassadors. The “SB” in SB19 stands for “Sound Break,” representing their aspirations to disrupt the music scene and bring Filipino music and culture into the international spotlight.
SB19 broke into the global spotlight as the first Southeast Asian and Filipino act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards as Top Social Artist in 2021. In 2025, SB19 released their long-awaited comeback EP, Simula at Wakas, launching with the track “DAM.” The song achieved significant chart success locally and internationally, reaching the IFPI Top 20 in the Philippines, the Middle East, and Hong Kong, and debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart in its first week.
