Noah Kahan has shared the official trailer for his forthcoming Netflix documentary Noah Kahan: Out of Body. The film is set to hit the streaming service globally on April 13.
The trailer begins with Kahan backstage at a venue, scrolling on his phone. An off-camera voice asks: “What do you check right after the show?,” to which Kahan responds: “Occasionally I’ll check Twitter, see what the response to the show was. And if it’s not good, I barricade myself in my room and order Taco Bell. And if it is good, I barricade myself in my room and order Taco Bell.” Other clips include his famed 2024 shows at Fenway Park and ruminations on fame. When a friend asks, “Do you ever worry that this is the peak?,” Kahan replies: “That’s all I think about, really.”
The documentary is directed by Nick Sweeney. The logline for the film reads: “After rocketing to global fame, singer-songwriter Noah Kahan returns to his Vermont roots to get back in tune with himself in this candid documentary.”
The film made its world premiere at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival, where it earned the 24 Beats Per Second Audience Award.
The new film is set to coincide with the release of the songwriter’s fourth LP, The Great Divide, which is out April 24 via Mercury Records. Kahan has already shared a number of singles from the new album, including “Porch Light,” which arrived in mid-March.
The song was written by Kahan alongside producer Aaron Dessner (Taylor Swift, Bon Iver) during their first-ever session together, and produced by Kahan, Dessner, and producer and Stick Season collaborator Gabe Simon (Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, Koe Wetzel). It was recorded between Dessner’s Long Pond Studio in Hudson, NY and Gold Pacific Studios in Nashville.
This summer, Kahan will bring the new album to audiences during his sold-out The Great Divide Tour. To date, the run has already sold more than one million tickets. The North American leg includes four performances at the aforementioned Fenway Park—making Kahan the first artist to play and sell out four nights at the iconic baseball stadium.
