Cosmosy’s new digital single, “Chance ~ Before I Call It Love ~,” has been released on March 20. The serves as the centerpiece of their second EP, *~ of the world ~*. It fully unfolds the narrative set within the “new world” first unveiled by the pre-release single, “Physics ~ 物理的な ~.” Having previously depicted the “laws of love in this new world” through the lens of physical laws, Cosmosy now captures the prayers of girls standing before the destiny of “probability.”
“Chance ~ Before I Call It Love ~” layers a melody progression characteristic of the J-Urban genre atop lyrical piano phrases and warm string arrangements, creating an emotive soundscape that slowly tightens its grip on the listener’s heart. The vocal lines—which fluidly transition between Korean, Japanese, and English—transcend linguistic boundaries to intricately portray the nuances of emotion. Furthermore, the chorus—growing in intensity and earnestness with each repetition—conveys, with Cosmosy’s signature warmth, the voices of girls praying for the “miracle of love moving from zero to one.”
This new world introduces the “PRISM SCOUTER”—the second device from the *PRISM INVADERS*. Capable of reading the probability of love, this device predicts the outcome before a meeting even takes place and declares the endeavor impossible before it has even begun.
The music video for “Chance ~ Before I Call It Love ~” centers on the story of girls who, despite being confronted with the 0% probability displayed by the PRISM SCOUTER, refuse to turn it off. They vow not to yield to the destiny—the probability—mapped out by the stars, and to place their faith in the miracle of moving from zero to one.
