‘The Sims’ soundtrack gets Lofi Girl remix album

The Sims has teamed up with Lofi Girl for a new, relaxing remix album – check it out below.

‘The Sims x Lofi Girl: Cozy Music To Feel Ohh Be Gah’ is out now and features 26 songs from across The Sims franchise that have been given a blissed out, relaxing Lofi Girl remix.

The collaboration was first teased yesterday (March 22) via a short animated social media video that saw Lofi Girl getting ready in the style of The Sims. Today, the full album has been released on streaming.

“Sul sul! Ready to get lost in your own world? ‘Lofi Girl x The Sims’ reimagines the classic soundtracks from the franchise as soothing, cozy lofi beats. Hit play and enjoy the perfect video game music to build your dream home, bring your sims’ stories to life, or simply focus with Lofi Girl. There are no goals, no rush, just let your world unfold at your pace,” reads a press release.

Lofi Girl previously teamed up with Ubisoft to give The Flight’s stunning soundtrack to  Assassin’s Creed Shadows a relaxing remix that was later released on vinyl. The hit YouTube channel has also reworked the music of Silent Hill f and Alien: Isolation

Last year, a number of popular The Sims streamers quit the game in protest over the $50billion sale of publishers EA to a group of investors that includes Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner (CEO of Affinity Partners) and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

“The values represented by the people acquiring EA are fundamentally at odds with what I stand for and support,” explained streamer Lilsimsie. However EA CEO Andrew Wilson has claimed that the “values” of EA and “their commitment to players and fans around the world [would] remain unchanged.”

In other news, Crimson Desert developers have apologised after fans uncovered AI-generated images within the ambitious open-world game.
