Editors, Miles Kane and Anna Calvi are among the names announced for The Maccabees’ date of On The Beach 2026.
The annual festival held on the iconic Brighton seafront will see a series of days curated by different artists this summer, with Fatboy Slim hosting three line-ups from July 17 to 19, Madness curating on July 24 and Moby topping the bill on July 26.
The other date is being led by The Maccabees on July 25, and now the full line-up for the day’s music has been confirmed.
As well as The Maccabees themselves, Editors, Miles Kane, Anna Calvi, Ash, Badly Drawn Boy and Lime Garden will all be playing throughout the day, which will run from 1pm to 10:30pm.
It is the last day of On The Beach 2026 for which there are still tickets remaining and you can find yours here.
The Maccabees have said: “When we were first starting out in Brighton, we did not imagine that 20 years on we would be headlining Brighton Beach. It is a very special thing for us to be doing this show outdoors on Brighton Beach and we intend to make this the best Maccabees show ever. Even better than the one at Concorde 2 that got us banned because fans were hanging from the ceiling. You will do well to hang from the ceiling at Brighton Beach.”
The band played their first live shows since 2017 last year, including a huge headline slot at All Points East and a triumphant performance at Glastonbury.
They will also be playing a string of big shows around the UK in July, including at London’s Alexandra Palace Park and Cornwall’s Eden Project. There will also be two warm-up shows in Edinburgh and Newcastle. See all of those dates here and find any remaining tickets here.
Speaking about the forthcoming dates, guitarist Felix White explained: “The year we’ve just had was so special to all of us, and so unexpected, that it has put some momentum in everyone collectively… and who wouldn’t want to do all that again?”
White teased last November that new music from the band may be coming in 2026, saying that these gigs “will either be the last Maccabees shows, or we’ll try and make some music and see where it goes”.
He later told NME about potential future material, explaining: “I think The Maccabees is never going to be a thing where you go, ‘Oh, we got another record, another record, another record…’ because, for better or worse, everyone cares too much about it.
“If we can get together and really feel all the stuff when you’re playing a song together – even if you’re in a bad mood, you can’t help but smile really big and have all the clichés like hairs on the back of your neck [standing up]… if we can find that secret again, then that will be a really amazing thing.”
