Coed Group SUCTION is All Smiles for Debut Single “Still Hurts”

An unexpected supergroup is born.

A bold new project group is making waves in the Korean entertainment scene. Suction — a co-ed collective born from the YouTube channel HYRU Entertainment brings together four entertainers from wildly different corners of the industry: Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha, multi-talented entertainer and announcer Kwon Hyuk-soo, Astro’s main vocalist MJ, and comedienne Na Hyun-young.

The group’s debut single, “Still Hurts”, dropped across major music streaming platforms on March 5 and music video on the 6th. It’s a newtro EDM dance track that channels the dance sensibilities of the early 2000s and reinterprets them through a contemporary lens — complete with an addictive hook and a powerful beat that lingers long after the song ends.

The lyrics are as clever as the concept: the heartbreak of losing a loved one is compared to the experience of being a chronic sufferer, a pain that, once it starts, never quite lets up. The track showcases each member’s distinct strengths — Kwon Hyuk-soo’s explosive high notes, MJ’s sharp rap delivery, and the immediately recognizable vocal textures of Narsha and Na Hyun-young, creating a synergy that feels both unexpected and inevitable.

Suction won’t be staying online-only for long. The group made their live debut stage on KBS2’s Music Bank on the 6th, bringing their debut single to a broadcast audience for the first time.
