US President Donald Trump has described Robert De Niro’s criticism of him as “criminal”, and implied that he should be deported.
The Oscar winner recently appeared on MSNOW news channel and became emotional as he told people to “resist” the Trump administration’s actions, which he described as “fucked up”.
Trump gave his response on the Truth Social platform, initially posting a tirade against Democrat Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. In the post, he said he believed he should “send them back from where they came”, before adding De Niro to the list.
Tlaib and De Niro were both born in the United States, while Omar was born in Somalia and has lived in the US since 1995.
“They should actually get on a boat with Trump Deranged Robert De Niro, another sick and demented person with, I believe, an extremely Low IQ, who has absolutely no idea what he is doing or saying — some of which is seriously CRIMINAL!” Trump posted.
“When I watched him break down in tears last night, much like a child would do, I realised that he may be even sicker than Crazy Rosie O’Donnell, who is right now in Ireland trying to figure out how to come back into our beautiful United States.”
Rosie O’Donnell has a long-running feud with Trump which stems back to before his political career. Following the politician’s re-election, O’Donnell moved to Ireland, and at the time of writing has not revealed any attempts to return to the US.
Since coming back into power, Donald Trump has had public feuds with Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Bruce Springsteen, Bad Bunny, Trevor Noah, and George Clooney among others, often using his Truth Social account in order to criticise them.
Recently, the producer of the documentary Melania, about Trump’s wife, first lady Melania Trump, said that music from the 2017 drama Phantom Thread will not be removed from his film, despite the request of composer Jonny Greenwood.
