The 79th BAFTA Film Awards are taking place tonight (February 22) – check out all of the winners so far below.
The ceremony honours the best films that were screened in British cinemas in 2025 and it is being hosted by actor and presenter Alan Cumming for the first time, with the star of The Good Wife and Eyes Wide Shut stepping in after David Tennant hosted for the last two years.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s political comedy-thriller One Battle After Another went into the night leading the nominations, with a total of 14 nods. Ryan Coogler’s vampire hit Sinners followed with 13, while Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet and Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme each sat on 11 nominations.
British films The Ballad Of Wallis Island and Pillion scored three nominations each, while drama I Swear has five.
The ceremony began at 5pm in London’s Royal Festival Hall and the show is being broadcast in the UK on BBC One from 7pm. In the US, it will be available on the E! network from 8pm ET.
The ceremony will also see the singing stars of KPop Demon Hunters, EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, perform ‘Golden’, while Jessie Ware will cover a “beloved” Barbra Streisand song during the ‘In Memoriam’ segment.
Last year, The Brutalist and Conclave were the big winners, taking four BAFTAs each, with the former winning Best Director and Best Actor and the latter taking Best Film and Best Adapted Screenplay.
