The 70-second clip sees Roan travelling through a mediaeval fantasy land with the help of a griffin and rescuing adorable locals from terrifying beasts before she arrives in Fortnite.
The video uses a variety of different animation techniques including stop-motion and hand-drawn, and has been praised on social media.
“Wow I love this display of beautifully handmade human art! Seeing human art makes me want to play this game! I think I will download it now,” wrote one fan in a tweet that’s been shared more than 4,500 times. ”All gaming companies use AI in some capacity, it’s important to be loud when they make rare ethically correct decisions like employing real artists,” they added.
“It’s hard to believe that Fortnite of all things would continue to be a bastion of human created art,” replied another fan. “It’s so refreshing to get to see real, hand-crafted art in media like this,” said a third.

Chappell Roan’s inclusion in Fortnite was first teased last month after the singer publicly pleaded with creators to give her her own skin. Last year, she revealed that her ideal night in would be spent playing the hit game. “If I want to have a really good night, I’ll just eat an edible and play video games. If I’m trying to have fun out, I’ll take shrooms,” she told the BBC after being crowned the Sound Of 2025 winner.
“When Chappell Roan asks for her own Fortnite outfit, we give her her own Fortnite outfit,” wrote Epic Games on X.
As part of the Chappell Roan x Fortnite collab, players can unlock a trio of outfits inspired by Roan’s onstage looks alongside emotes, accessories and sidekicks. A number of her songs have been added to Fortnite Festival and the rhythm game’s Main Stage has been transformed into Roan’s stage for her recent ‘Visions Of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things’ tour.
In other news, HBO has confirmed that The Last Of Us showrunner Craig Mazin will be heading up a TV sequel to hit game Baldur’s Gate 3.
