Hosted by Steve Fishman, the series takes listeners through an unconventional investigation, led by Australian tabloid journalist, Lyndal Marks, and her hunt for justice for a young teenager who she discovers was brutally murdered. At the center of Killer Story are two women who never met: one chasing glamour on the Las Vegas strip, and the other running from unresolved trauma in her past. Their lives become tragically intertwined when 17-year-old Sabrina Kidd goes missing — a disappearance that is largely ignored until one phone call propels tabloid journalist Lyndal Marks into a years-long personal mission to uncover what really happened.
When the body of a Jane Doe is found floating in the Colorado River, investigators can’t determine who the young victim is—until reporter Lyndal Marks decides she will. Marks uncovers that the unidentified girl is Sabrina Kidd, a teen who vanished after moving in with a middle‑aged man who claimed he could make her a star model. Despite pushback from her network’s legal team—fearful of pointing to a killer without ironclad proof—Marks secretly continues her investigation, risking both her career and her safety to expose the truth.
As Killer Story unfolds, listeners hear how Marks’ own past mirrors Sabrina’s, giving her a visceral sense that this could have been her. Through first time conversations with law enforcement, those close to Sabrina and more, Marks’ investigation exposes disturbing leads, complex legal roadblocks, and a cast of characters whose motives blur the line between protector and predator.
