Grammys executive producer Ben Winston has responded to rumours that Taylor Swift will perform at the 2026 ceremony.

The 68th Grammy Awards are set to take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, this Sunday (February 1), with Trevor Noah hosting for “one last time”.
Swift, who has 14 Grammys in total, is not nominated in any category this year. This is because her 12th and latest studio album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, was released outside the eligibility period of August 31, 2024 to August 30, 2025.
But fans believe that Swift could be a surprise late addition to the line-up of performers – which already includes Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, ROSÉ, Tyler, The Creator and Sombr.
Winston, however, has now shut down the speculation in an interview with HITS.
“The only reason people think Taylor might be performing or coming is because HITS decided to print it this week and put it in their HITS List, and it was picked up globally,” he explained.

“But HITS just totally made that up. And now I am getting asked about it by you, as if it’s a real thing, when it was made up in your office!”
Winston concluded: “That really is a full-circle rumour!”
Swift last performed at the Grammys in 2021 when she delivered a medley of songs from her 2020 sister albums ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’. She picked up the Album Of The Year statue for the former that year.
Then, in 2024, the singer made history as she won AOTY again for ‘Midnights’. The achievement made her the artist with the most-ever wins in the category (four), surpassing Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon and Frank Sinatra (three).
Swift also surprised fans by announcing her next album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, at the Grammys 2024. However, she lost out on the AOTY gong for the record in 2025 to Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’.
Kendrick Lamar leads the way at the 2026 Grammys with nine nods, ahead of Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter. Check out the full nominations list here.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that Post Malone, Slash, Chad Smith, Ms Lauryn Hill and more will be leading tributes to Ozzy Osbourne, D’Angelo and Roberta Flack at the Grammys this weekend.
In other news, Taylor Swift recently became the youngest female artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame.
She released a six-part docuseries on Disney+, The End Of An Era, last month. The show documented the making of her record-breaking, global ‘Eras Tour’, and arrived alongside the concert film The Final Show.
