Wunderhorse have been announced as headliners for Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus 2026. Find all the details below.

The band will top the bill at this year’s edition of the Steel event on Saturday August 29. It’ll mark just one of two outdoor UK shows for Jacob Slater and co. this year, ahead of their slot supporting Twenty One Pilots at All Points East 2026.
They’ll be joined at Rock N Roll Circus by a host of special guests, with Baxter Dury serving as the main support act. The line-up also features Mercury Prize-winners English Teacher, as well as former NME Cover stars Fat Dog.
More artists are set to be confirmed at a late date, according to organisers.
Tickets for Wunerhorse at Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus 2026 go on general sale at 10am GMT next Friday (February 6) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.
Alternatively, fans can access a pre-sale at the same time on Wednesday (February 4) by signing up before 5pm GMT on Tuesday (3). You can do so here.
Ali O’Reilly, Festival Director at Rock N Roll Circus, said: “Wunderhorse are one of the most exciting British bands to emerge in recent years, and bringing one of their only outdoor UK shows to Sheffield feels incredibly significant.
“We are huge fans of the band and tried really hard to get them over the line. We’re also super excited about the line-up.”
She added: “Our programming has always been about championing artists who are shaping the future of live music and giving audiences outside of London access to truly special shows.”
Wunderhorse join the previously announced headliners The Streets and Richard Ashcroft for Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus. The series will take place at the South Yorkshire city’s Don Valley Bowl.
Last year’s festival saw Queens Of The Stone Age, James, Bryan Adams and Reverend & The Makers perform.

Wunderhorse released their acclaimed second album ‘Midas’ in 2024. The record appeared in NME‘s list of the 50 best albums from that year, where it was described as “visceral [and] impulsive”. The entry read: “Whispers of Britain’s next great guitar act rightfully turned into a racket when Wunderhorse unleashed ‘Midas’.”
The band reflected on the success of the LP during an interview with NME at Glastonbury 2025, while also hinting at new music to come.
“There’s a few ideas flying around, but nothing concrete yet,” Jacob Slater told us at the time. “We’re just focusing on doing shows and getting those to a high standard.”
When pressed for more details on where he hoped to take the group’s eventual third album, the frontman responded: “I’ve got a couple [of] ideas but I’ll keep them under here,” pointing to the hat he was wearing.
