Jay Park’s self-produced boy group LNGSHOT has officially made their debut with their debut EP, “Shot Callers.”  The four-member group consists of OHYUL, RYUL, WOOJIN, and LOUIS. The group received high praise when performing alongside Jay Park during the 2025 Melon Music Awards.

The title of their EP  has a significant meaning to the group, showing that they are planning to take the lead in their activities. As artists, they have begun to take the initiative by already participating in the lyrics, composing, and arranging of the B-side tracks. The five-track EP is a blend of Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop, making each song have a unique sound. The group showcased two of their own tracks during the Melon Music Awards, both “Saucin’” and “Moonwalkin.

The title track, “Moonwalkin” is about being confident with every step, even when life becomes unexpected. With references to Michael Jackson in the song, the track draws inspiration from him and from the iconic dance move. The song received high praise from fans for its refreshing sound of both R&B and Hip Hop. Creating a strong identity with their title, LNGSHOT is showcasing that they are rookies to watch.

Their other pre-released track, “Saucin’,” focuses on being confident in one’s style and being bold with it. Their music video takes this idea to the next level by showing the K-pop industry trying to take away the group’s “sauce” from them in order to be confined to the standard. This song has a bold message and the visuals from both the performance and music video matches it. This song became viral on social media for the intense footwork that fans, especially dancers, wanted to try.

Backseat” is another track off the album that explains the group’s seriousness and constant work they put in as artists. They explain that others don’t see the work behind the scenes, but they will continue to show society that they will do all the work they need to for their team. “FaceTime” is the fourth track on the mini-album showcasing a new side to the group, this R&B track is focused about wanting instant communication with a loved one and waiting for them to “FaceTime” them. This song differs from the last two by showing a more emotional side to them. “Never Let Go” is the final track on the mini-album, one that all members contributed too. The theme of the track is about holding onto something precious even when things become unstable. Each track has its own distinctive meaning and showcases the members’ identities to the craft.
