BLACKPINK has officially ended months of speculation by teasing their third mini album, DEADLINE, set to drop February 27, 2026, at 12 a.m. EST (1 p.m. KST). The announcement, shared January 15 across the group’s social media, marks their first new project since 2022’s Born Pink.
The comeback has been a long time coming. Early reports pointed to a May 2025 return, followed by multiple delays before landing on the newly confirmed date. A sleek teaser video revealed the album title and timing, tying the release to BLACKPINK’s ongoing DEADLINE World Tour, which wraps January 26, 2026, in Hong Kong.
Preparations have been underway for months, with filming reportedly completed by fall 2025. The extended timeline allowed the group to balance recording with their global tour, which launched in July 2025.
DEADLINE follows the chart-topping success of Born Pink and 2025’s hit single “Jump.” Members have teased a fresh, bold sound shaped by their solo ventures, setting high expectations as BLACKPINK gears up for their 10th anniversary year.
