Moses formed the band alongside Andrew Suster and Orlando Wiltshire, and, unlike his father’s material as part of Coldplay, they focus on an overall moodier, alt-rock approach.

Already, the band has been signed by Interscope Records, which represents massive names including Benny Blanco, Billie Eilish, BTS, Gracie Abrams, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga.

Taking to Instagram at the end of 2025, Moses revealed that People I’ve Met have now dropped their debut single, ‘Promise’, which gives listeners a first taste of what to expect from the band.

“So proud of this song. Endlessly grateful for the band and @noahconrad for helping to make this song so special,” he wrote in the caption, mentioning the LA-based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. “Hope you enjoy. Sincerely, Moses Martin.”

“We’re at the summit of better lives/ Can you give me more time?/ We’re over-damaged and undermined/ Give it up one more time,” Moses sings in the brooding pre-chorus. The instrumentals have subtle nods to artists including The Temper Trap and Tame Impala, while the singer’s voice has a slight resemblance to that of his father.

Can we just start over?/Can we just be honest?/ I’m tired of feeling/ I’m tired of promise,” he sings as the song bursts into the euphoric chorus.

Moses is the child of Paltrow and Martin, who were married from 2003 to 2016. Now aged 19, he has contributed vocals to some Coldplay songs in the past including ‘Humankind’, and also has writing credits on ‘All My Love’, ‘The Astronaut’, and ‘Orphans’ (via Daily Mail).

He also joined Coldplay on stage at Glastonbury in 2016, and is the sibling of Apple Martin, who has ventured into the music industry recently as well.

In October last year, the 21 year-old was seen performing at Cannery Hall in Nashville alongside musical duo Jade Street. The footage of that gig comes after she was previously credited as a co-songwriter on the Coldplay song ‘Let Somebody Go’ from their 2021 album ‘Music Of The Spheres’, which features guest vocals from Selena Gomez.

Details about more new music from People I’ve Met have not yet been shared.

As for Coldplay, their latest album ‘Moon Music’ was given a four-star review, with NME’s Rhian Daly writing that the record “gently and subtly distils that spirit of weathering any storm, going on a journey from that bleak opening moment to a more accepting, happier ending.”

Martin gave NME an exclusive interview ahead of the album’s release, where he told us that the album “is kind of the story of waking up in the morning and feeling terrible about yourself, terrible about the world – depressed, isolated, separate, alone, and not able to be yourself.”

He went on to add: “Through the album, it’s a journey to feeling the complete opposite at the end of the day.”

Since then, the band have been on the road with their giant ‘Music Of The Spheres’ tour. The trek came to an end in September, after becoming the second tour to ever gross over $1billion, but Martin revealed at the penultimate show at Wembley that there are “138 more shows to go”, adding: “We have a break coming up, and we’ll announce the shows for 2027 soon.”
