ROCKY Appointed to K-POP General Director at the Global K-POP Center


Singer Rocky officially assumed the position of K-POP General Director at the Global K-POP Center on January 7.

The Global K-POP Center is a next-generation K-POP talent development institution jointly operated by PH E&M (CEO Park Byung-geon) in collaboration with KBS Sports World. It operates as a comprehensive K-POP hub, connecting with domestic and international entertainment companies, broadcasting stations, and global platforms, integrating international cooperation programs across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. It also aims to build a content industry ecosystem through global IP production and collaboration, and to establish a sustainable growth model for the K-POP industry.

Rocky is a current idol singer from the group ASTRO and is also well-known as a talented choreographer who has directly participated in creating the group’s choreography. As an all-around artist encompassing vocals, rap, performance, and producing, he has accumulated extensive practical experience across the entire K-POP industry, including global tours, album production, and performance direction.

Through this appointment as K-POP General Director, Rocky will oversee all aspects of K-POP performance and choreography at the Global K-POP Center, leading the advancement of the artist training system, planning global auditions and new talent development projects, establishing content production and IP expansion strategies, and providing artistic direction for performance, choreography, and stage production.

Rocky stated, “I want to contribute to creating an environment and system where the next generation of talent leading the K-POP industry can grow stably,” regarding his appointment.

Meanwhile, the Global K-POP Center, located within KBS Sports World in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, plans to significantly expand its domestic and international K-POP talent development programs.
