Liam Neeson has narrated a documentary that questions the legitimacy of vaccines, and praises the US government’s health and human services secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr.

Plague Of Corruption features an interview with the politician, as well as scrutinising the validity of vaccines such as the one administered for the COVID-19 virus. The film is based on a book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, a discredited former research scientist and anti-vaccination activist; and Kent Heckenlively, who has also authored books with radio host Alex Jones.
Part of Neeson’s narration, as transcribed by The Guardian, criticised the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. “Thousands of lives were lost, not to the virus,” he said, “but to the mental anguish brought on by these harsh restrictions.”
Heckenlively, who is also the film’s producer, shared a link for the film’s trailer on X (formerly Twitter) and appeared to imply Neeson’s involvement meant he shared its views. “Liam Neeson for the win,” he wrote, “Aslan is on our side!” Neeson voiced the character of Aslan, a magical talking lion, in Disney’s The Chronicles Of Narnia franchise from 2005-10.

However, Neeson’s representatives have sent a statement to The Guardian clarifying the Taken actor’s beliefs. “We all recognise that corruption can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with opposition to vaccines,” it read.
“Liam never has been, and is not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with Unicef underscores his long-held support for global immunisation and public-health initiatives. He did not shape the film’s editorial content, and any questions about its claims or messaging should be directed to the producers.”
Liam Neeson was most recently seen in the reboot of The Naked Gun. His performance, and the film as a whole, was criticised by the maker of the original Liam Neeson movies, David Zucker.
“They tried to replace Leslie Nielsen in the new Naked Gun,” he said in an interview with Woman’s World. “You can’t replace him. No one else can do that.”
