‘I Really Want To Stay At Your House’ was originally written and recorded by Let’s Eat Grandma’s Rosa Walton for the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack. It went on to inspire a side mission and also appeared in the Netflix animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077’s release, Bilmuri has shared a new cover of the track. Check it out below:

The cover has been released in collaboration with The Game Awards, with many fans expecting Bilmuri to put in an appearance during the ceremony tonight (December 11) even though he’s currently on tour in Europe. It’s already been confirmed that Evanescence will be performing their Devil May Cry anthem ‘Afterlife’.

Bilmuri’s cover of ‘I Really Want To Stay At Your House’ follows on from singles ‘More Than Hate’ and ‘Hard To Tell’ which were both released this year after the success of 2024’s breakout album ‘American Motor Sports’. The rocker has also recently toured with Sleep Token and Bad Omens and is currently in the midst of his own UK and European headline run.

A number of Cyberpunk developers took to social media to reflect on five years of the hit game. “I hope you have enjoyed the stories we have told about the characters we have built. I feel so blessed to be part of this community. I feel so thankful to be able to work on this game and to add something valuable to your lives,” said designer Pawel Sasko.

“”I’m deeply proud to have been part of the team that shaped Night City. The project changed me – as a designer and as a person – and being my first project at CDPR, it became a defining and unforgettable chapter of my career,” added level designer Bartek Pyrko. CD Projekt Red also shared the anniversary trailer ‘City Of Legends’ to mark the milestone.

Looking ahead, Keanu Reeves has said he’d “love” to return as Johnny Silverhand for a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. A follow-up was announced in 2022, with development of “Project Orion” starting back in 2023
