The Prince Of Darkness died on July 22 at his family home in Buckinghamshire. He passed away due to a heart attack, but was in poor health beforehand as he suffered from coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s.

Ozzy’s death came just 17 days after he played his final-ever live show in his hometown of Birmingham, where he raised millions for children’s charities and enlisted some of the biggest names in metal to perform.

Now, his manager and widow, Sharon, has shared insight into his final moments, and revealed the moving final words he said to her shortly before he died.

Opening up during an upcoming interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored – part of which has already been shared by The Sun – she said that the Black Sabbath icon “was up and down to the bathroom all night” and asked her to “wake up” at around 4am. It was then that she spoke to him for the last time.

“I said, ‘I’m already bloody awake, you’ve woken me up’,” she said, going on to recall his final words: “And he said, ‘Kiss me’, and then he said, ‘Hug me tight’.”

Sharing that he then “went downstairs, worked out for 20 minutes and passed away”, Sharon added that she felt a sense of regret that the discussion ended up being their last. She told Morgan: “I can’t help wondering if I should have, could I have? If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter.”

‘Doctors told Ozzy his last show would kill him.’

Also in the interview, Sharon explained how the heavy metal pioneer was having frequent dreams about “people that he never knew” in the last few days of his life.

“I said, ‘Well, what kind of people?’ He goes, ‘All different people. I just keep walking and walking, and I’m seeing all these different people every night. I go back there and I’m looking at these people, and they’re looking at me, and nobody’s talking’,” she said. “And he knew. He was ready.”

The full interview is set to air later today (Wednesday December 10).

After Ozzy’s death over the summer, fans pushed to rename Birmingham Airport in honour of the late star and put a petition forward on Change.org, which now has over 75,000 signatures.

Last week, it was reported that the petition is still getting momentum, despite hopes being nixed by the airport’s CEO, and it was also revealed that the late singer had been posthumously honoured with the Birmingham Lord Mayor’s Award on what would have been his 77th birthday.
