WayV, the acclaimed Chinese group of NCT, has returned with their first Winter Special Album: “Eternal White” on December 8. The group flexes their refined vocal harmonies and versatility across seven new tracks that span chill R&B, dance-pop and symphonic ballad – all immaculately crafted to soundtrack the winter months. Listen HERE – out now via SM Entertainment.

The title track ‘Eternal White’ – hemmed by British producer Shift K3y (aespa’s ‘Whiplash’, Becky Hill) – is a pulsating dance-pop track blending rhythmic saxophone riffs with energetic drum beats. WayV shows no signs of slowing down in winter as the new banger launches an ice-cool blast of powerful rap and emotive vocals.

KUN, TEN, XIAOJUN, HENDERY, and YANGYANG immediately set out to impress, opening with ‘The Fifth Season’, a rich acapella intro that centres on WayV’s tight vocal harmonies. The track is written by renowned British R&B and pop hitmakers MNEK, Tre-Jean Marie, and Ryan Ashley, who have worked with Little Mix and FLO. Watch the live performance clip HERE.

‘Moment In Time’ – written and produced by long-time NCT collaborators, LDN Noise – is a moonlit R&B track swathed in dreamy vocals and a captivating 808 bass. For fans of WayV’s beloved hit, ‘Love Talk’, this is a must-hear.

The romantic vibes flow through to the R&B mid-tempo ‘First Time’, composed and arranged by KUN, while ‘Strange Tears’ takes listeners to an introspective space. The lyrics explore how confronting an unfamiliar version of oneself amid inner confusion becomes an important part of personal growth.

The English R&B track ‘Stay’, co-written and co-produced by Dem Jointz (NCT, Rihanna) and Leon Thomas (SZA), draws out the album’s most unique storytelling, depicting tension between two people in a relationship coming to the surface.

The album closes on an epic and devastating note with ‘Lover After Me’. The grand symphonic ballad layers classical orchestration with modern pop sensibilities, giving us WayV at their most stripped back and emotionally raw. The lyrics convey feelings of regret at the end of love, along with a sincere wish for the other person’s happiness.

“Eternal White” follows WayV’s seventh mini album “BIG BANDS, which topped the digital album sales and mini album chart on China’s largest music platform QQ Music, as well as hitting Top 10 on iTunes Top Albums Chart in 16 regions. Following the release, WayV kicked off their second concert tour, “NO Way OUT“, in August with two sold-out shows in Seoul before taking it to Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand.
