Anglo-Swiss post-punk duo Lebanon Hanover — Larissa Iceglass and William Maybelline — launch their expansive North American tour today, October 20, 2025, at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City. Presented by Persona Grata, the tour marks the band’s most ambitious North American itinerary to date, including long-awaited Canadian stops in Toronto and Montreal, and a Halloween-weekend appearance at Chicago’s Sanctum Festival. The tour is promtoion of their latest album, Asylum Lullabies, out now via Fabrika Records.
A stark and introspective follow-up to 2020’s Sci-Fi Sky, Asylum Lullabies confronts themes of mental-health struggles, heartbreak, and existential dread in an increasingly apocalyptic world. “I pretty much dread the future,” admits Maybelline in a recent interview with NASTY Magazine, a future that will be, as Iceglass adds, “Probably something dystopian… I just hope there’s no World War III and bombs falling down everywhere.” The duo’s outlook mirrors the tension at the heart of their music — an austere, minimalist resistance to chaos, where each sparse rhythm and bass pulse becomes a quiet act of survival amid the noise of a collapsing modern world.
Asylum Lullabies by Lebanon Hanover
Since their formation in 2010, Lebanon Hanover have become stalwarts of the international darkwave revival. Their breakout single “Gallowdance” remains a defining coldwave anthem — one of the most recognizable tracks of the 2010s post-punk resurgence — its melancholic bassline and detached vocals still haunting dance floors worldwide. Over the past decade, Iceglass and Maybelline have cultivated an influential catalog spanning seven studio albums and countless underground classics. Their prolific output has inspired a new generation of artists reshaping darkwave, minimal synth, and coldwave for the modern era, echoing Lebanon Hanover’s uncompromising aesthetic and emotional austerity.
