Janis Rose Bullock, a young mother of four, had everything a young Mississippi mother could want: safety, security, a loving family. Until she disappeared in the late 1970s–and people began to whisper about her disappearance. Would Janis Rose ever leave on her own? But with no body recovered, all they could do was wonder–was she murdered? Abducted? No one knew. And then 40 years after her disappearance Campbell joins an investigator, Marc Ogden, as he reopens Janis Rose’s cold case.
What appears to be the straightforward story of a vanished woman unfolds into a labyrinth of secrets that crosses three states, four marriages, stolen identities — and two men known for murder.
