Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon – also known as HYO – has released a new electro-house single, ‘YES’. Check it out below.

Yesterday (July 16), Hyoyeon unveiled, ‘YES’, her first release of the year. It comes with an accompanying music video in which the singer-DJ dancing in a white-walled studio in various outfits.
“Love is calling / Answer baby / You should know I’m feeling something / There’s no question / You know the word, YES,” she sings against an upbeat house beat.

Hyoyeon’s most recent releases were her 2024 hit ‘Retro Romance, and ‘Picture’ before that in August 2023. Prior to that, she released her first mini-album ‘Deep’ led by the title track of the same name. The record included several of the singer’s past singles like ‘Dessert’, ‘Punk Right Now’, ‘Sober’ and more.
Back in April last year, Hyoyeon was detained in Bali, Indonesia with several other South Korean celebrities and crew while they were filming reality television programme Pick Me Trip in Bali. The cast and crew had already wrapped up filming, but were stopped from leaving after local authorities found that they had been filming without the required permits.
