Mario Kart World opens up the game’s character roster to more friendly and enemy faces than ever before, but how do you actually unlock them all?

Well, unlike the last game, you don’t have access to all of them right away – just a handful. Therefore, you will need to complete racers and get lucky during races. Here is a breakdown of how to get them all.
To unlock all the Mario Kart World characters, you need to do the following:
Donkey Kong – Complete Mushroom Cup
Daisy – Complete Flower Cup
Rosalina – Complete Star Cup
Lakitu – Complete Shell Cup
Birdo – Complete Banana Cup
King Boo – Complete Leaf Cup
Bowser Jr. – Complete Lightning Cup
Cataquack – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Chargin’ Chuck – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Coin Coffer – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Conkdor – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Dolphin – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Fish Bone – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Peepa – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Pianta – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Rocky Wrench – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Spike – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Swoop – Unlocked by Kamek’s Transformation (Item)
Everyone else is a default character, including the baby characters. So, you can play whoever you want. The NPC characters are random unlocks. You just have to get lucky and be transformed into the character you need by Kamek when someone uses the item during a race online, in a grand prix, or any other mode.
