Marvel Rivals Season 2 has arrived and it brings a party to the game. The Hellfire Gala is now underway, and Emma Frost has joined the game to celebrate. However, the celebrations are soon to be disrupted by Ultron as he ushers in his robot reinforcements.

Here is what we know about the second hero this season, Ultron, and when he is coming to the game.
‘Marvel Rivals’ Ultron release date
Ultron should arrive in Marvel Rivals on May 23, 2025, or May 30, 2025, during the mid-season update for the game. This date could shift slightly, but it will be around 6 weeks into the season, which lasts 12 weeks or so.
From Season 3 onwards, heroes will actually arrive quicker, as each season is being shortened to just two months.
‘Marvel Rivals’ Ultron abiliites
The entire ability list for Ultron is as follows thanks to leaks that happened around the launch of the game. He is a Strategist.
Ultimate: Rage of Ultron – Summon Ultron Drones to fiire Encephalo-Rays, damaging enemies or healing allies.
Movement ability: Dynamic Flight – Fly quickly in the direction of movement and then enter a free-flight mode.
Ability 1: Imperative: Patch – Command a giant drone to follow an ally, constantly healing allies in its radius, with additional healing for the designated ally.
Ability 2: Imperative: Firewall – Summon drones to grant bonus Health to allies within range, centred on himself and the ally marked with Imperative: Patch.
Passive: Algorithm Correction – Hold jump to fall slowly.
Regular Fire: Encephalo-Ray – Unleash a burning energy beam.
These could slightly change, but it does appear that his abilities are set in stone from teases we have seen in trailers.
When will we see Ultron gameplay?
Ultron gameplay should arrive 1-2 weeks before the launch of the mid-season Season 2 update on May 23, 2025, or May 30, 2025. We will keep this guide updated as we hear more.
